Millions of Cats
A great way to get a *spark* of creativity is to get in touch with your inner child. Do you have a favorite book from your childhood? If you do, dig it out or take a trip to the library, the book store or find it online and get it in your hands again. You’ll be amazed at the sheer thrill and excitement of paging through that book again. My grandma Alberta used to read Wanda Gag’s “Millions of Cats” to us when we’d visit. The book had survived a house fire and was aged with love. I can still hear grandma saying,
“Hundreds of cats,
Thousands of cats,
Millions and billions and trillions of cats.”
The pen and ink drawings are precious and I can’t help but love that Wanda Gag grew up in rural Minnesota just like me 😉
