Hip to the Rose-Hip. Joint Support For Active Mamas!

Round here, there’s not a week that goes by without some sort of activity such as yoga, paddle boarding, mountain biking, horse riding and the like, but, in all reality, being a mom is the most physically (and MENTALLY!) taxing thing on my body. Running on little sleep, hauling around a 22 lb. baby, and diaper changes which are more like hog-tying (yes, I just said hog-tying!) have really made me notice my back, knees, and OH-GEEZ, my hips! 😉

I recently came across GOPO, a rose-hip supplement with galactolipids (say that five times fast 😛 ) that supports joint health. It reduces inflammation and increases cartilage and collagen production. Hello, YES. I’ll try that! Its long history goes back to this guy… a retired Denmark fellow, Erik Hansen, who started farming rose-hip after meeting a woman who ate pickled rose-hips her entire life and never had a cold. Ha. I suppose I would try it too after hearing that! …Turns out it also helped with his osteoarthritis, and since he didn’t like to take pain killers (I’m not much for unnatural remedies either) – he began to distribute his rose-hip powder in this small truck pictured below at health fairs in the 80’s.
Today you can purchase GOPO at a variety of retailers here in the states! The Vitamin Shoppe is one such location. You can also tag a friend in the fb comments below for a chance to win a free bottle!
If you’re like me, you think, “It’s natural? Why not give it a GO!(PO!)” 😀
A simple dose of two capsules per day can be taken as a regular supplement or you may break it apart over food. I say, sprinkle it with bee pollen over your favorite yogurt, poi, or acai bowl! …Makes for a ‘rosey’ treat.

Until next time…
May you have a smile on your face,
a swing in your step,
and health in your joints!

My mom just started taking this. Can’t wait to see what results she has.
Let us know how it goes for her!
