Vintage Sneak & Peek Hot-Pants-Dress, Circa Late 60s/Early 70s
A couples weeks ago, I sang the National Anthem at the EquiDome in Los Angeles…
To which, I wore Grandma Audrey’s hot pants dress!
It created quite a stir.
Mostly because people had a hard time imagining a ‘grandma’ wearing a spunky, sneak & peek dress like this. 😉
I added some red accents to the black, white & silver motif for a playful and powerful punch.
Check out the construction of this dress.. it unzips clear to the waist to reveal these matching, peek-a-boo, hot pants!
I can’t find a tag or the remnants of one, so I’m guessing Gram had someone sew this specially for her.
Either way, it was fun to give her dress new life and another outing!!
(P.S. This picture makes me laugh.. All I can think about is Will Ferrell on the cover of the movie, Elf. Click Here, and you’ll see what I mean! It’s good to laugh at ourselves once in a while. ..Or perhaps every day. Let’s not take life too seriously, eh? (Although, I’m one to talk…!))
